Engie (Equans) & Northampton Partnership Homes Whole House Retrofit Project
The Client
Engie is a Worldwide organisation representing low carbon energy and services. Engie is committed to accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral world through reduced energy consumption and environmentally friendly solutions.
In the UK and Ireland, Engie’s activity across technical services and facilities, management, energy efficiency, and regeneration is now part of Equans. This new entity includes specialist energy-related capabilities such as smart buildings and green mobility.
Equans supports customers by providing low carbon energy solutions, cutting-edge technical services, and regeneration across the UK and Ireland. From cities to individual homes, hospitals, offices, and industry.
The Project
EEC was approached by Equans on behalf of the Northampton Partnership Homes to provide Whole House Retrofit Assessments across social housing in the authority.
- Energy Performance Certificates – Arrange and carry out EPCs for the chosen social housing in the authority.
- Occupancy Assessments – Tailored energy consumption data gathering.
- Condition Reports – Looking at the current condition of properties e.g. looking at current ventilation, presence of mould, damp or condensation.
- Energy Saving Advice – Provided to the tenants to explain how to save energy once the Whole-House Retrofit had been carried out.
The Results
- Provided all essential data and information to the Retrofit Coordinator to enable them to complete the overview for the Whole House Plan
- Able to produce energy efficiency designs for the installation of energy-efficient measures.
- Educated tenants in energy saving
- Helping Northampton Partnership Homes move closer to achieving carbon emission targets across all social housing stock.
Since completing this project in partnership with Equans and Northampton Partnership Homes, Equans has requested continued partnership on future projects.
